Moyer & Son continues to be a proud sponsor for Retro Bill, the national DARE program buddy who goes around talking to kids about saying no to drugs and living a positive lifestyle. This year we sponsored the Retro Bill Earl Bowl, a bowling tournament with close to 200 kids at the Earl Bowl in Franconia. We had coupons, wild bird food samples, notepads, and my favorite mini-beach balls – and let me tell you that it's LOTS of fun watching 200 kids running around a bowling alley before the tournament starts and they're throwing around beach balls. Even better though is when I had them announce that I had brought in a full sheet cake and that there was FREE birthday cake for EVERYONE for my 30th birthday. One second everyone is bowling and the next my table is SWARMED with 200 kids just surrounding the table asking for the first piece. Needless to say it was a very special birthday and an incredible event where we were able to have a positive impact for a drug free lifestyle in our community.
