Lansdale is a borough in Montgomery County, PA with a population of around 16,269. During the early 20th centry, the borough was known for several industries which included agriculture, canning, foundries, brickyards and a silk mill, and manufacturers of cigars, stoves, shirts, rope, iron drain pipe, and glue. The Jenkins family were the earliest known settlers of Lansdale. During the 1850s, the North Pennsylvania Railroad helped the city grow rapidly.
