Newtown is a township located in Bucks County, PA with a population of around 19,299. The township was formed in 1683 on land purchased by William Penn. Newtown was originally named “my New Township” which later became known as Newtown Township. Newtown was the county seat of Bucks County from 1726-1813 when it was moved to Doylestown.
