Souderton is located in Montgomery County, PA. The borough has a population of around 6,883. The town was originally settled by the Welsh and they gave it the name Welshtown. Souderton was also known as Souder’s Lumberyard but was changed to Souderton before the railroad era during the second half of the 19th century.
