Q: Will rain hurt the application?
A: The application needs time to dry. If rain comes soon after the treatment, call the Lawn & Tree Care Department for a free retreat.

Q: Does this application treat for Spotted Lantern Flies?
A: The Foliar Spray will treat for Spotted Lantern Flies and many other flying, chewing, biting insects such as Beetles, Aphids, Bagworms and the like.

Q: Does rain interfere with the Deep Root Fertilization or the Basal Bark Spray?
A: These applications are applied systemically through the roots, so rain will actually help these applications.

Q: Why can’t we treat or spray Japanese Maple Trees?
A: Insects generally do not feed on this type of tree. Sometimes Beetles will feed on them. If the spray is applied early in the morning or in the rain (to avoid the high heat of the day), the Japanese Maple will have minimal damage. If there are no bugs on the tree.

Q: How far does the Foliar Spray reach?
A: The Foliar spray can reach an average of 5-feet, about the height of a two-story house or a telephone pole.

Q: Can the Tree & Shrub Technician spray other structures, such as the house siding, the deck or the patio?
A: The Tree technician’s license only allows for spraying trees and shrubbery.

Q: Can you guarantee that after the selected treatment, I will no longer have bugs – Spotted Lantern Flies, Japanese Beetles – and other flying insects on my trees and shrubs?

A: We have many products available to decrease the number of insects near your trees and shrubs. If after a few days of the application you do not see any difference in the number of insects, please call us and we will set up an appointment to come back and re-treat the areas at no cost to you.

Q: How long does the Foliar Spray work?
A: The Foliar Spray will control the bugs on contact. It will also leave a residue on the serviced trees so if an insect tries to feed on that tree later, it will also die. This residuel lasts about 30 days.
